Seagoville High Students Attend Dallas ISD Gun Violence Forum

DALLAS – Five Seagoville High School students attended a Dallas ISD Student Forum on “Gun Violence and School Safety” held at the Briscoe Carpenter Livestock Center at Fair Park this past Tuesday morning.

Approximately 200 students from the district’s high schools met to sharing their voices and experiences on how to make their respective schools and communities safer. The forum was moderated by Omar Jahwar, the CEO of Urban Specialists – an outreach organization based in Dallas.

Students were asked tp take an active role in being involved in the larger, national movement on student safety and gun control. DISD students are also expected to participate in March For Our Lives national protest on March 24.
