National Night Out Set For October 2

SEAGOVILLE – The City of Seagoville along with several neighborhood crime watch groups will take part in the 35th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 2. Neighborhoods throughout the city are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for National Night Out.

National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and your Seagoville Police Department.

It’s designed to heighten crime awareness, generate support for anticrime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit, along with police and community partnerships. It also sends a message to the criminal element letting them know our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. neighborhoods throughout the City and across the Nation, are asked to turn on the outside lights, step outside, and spend the evening with neighbors, City leaders, local police officers and fireman in the fight against crime.
